The Boy : Hates ISPs

So, I'm back. I realize and acknowledge the fact that it has been almost 60 hours since I've had contact with the girl. I do feel horrible about the whole ordeal. Here is the skinny on what happened, and you can call me names and talk about me behind my back later on.
After the last conversation with The Girl, I was feeling hung over. We had our FIRST (!!!!!!) real conversation on skype. I must admit that hearing her laugh and get on with her little conversations, made me have a huge high (see erection). But, it was close to 7 am when we got off the line with eachother. Her choice, not mine. See, I was so adamant on staying on the line with her, that I was beginning to fall asleep! "How could you do that?" you may ask. Well, it's hard to answer that. She is afterall a cute little sexpot and does drive me wild. But I had been up for 24 hours at that point. Soo.... After she wakes me up and tells me to go to bed, I do. For two hours. I am up at 9 am to shower, shave, all the little things that make up my morning ritual before I head off to work. I had every intent on blogging when I got there. Some new post, an email, or even a photo for my lovely. Alas, it was not to be. You see, at the work we have a little thing called DSL. And since we've had it installed, it has done two things.
1. Work extremely slow... so slow that I cannot even stream Youtube videos without waiting for about 2 minutes. We're talking dial-up era waiting here folks.
2. Break at the worst possible times.
It chose to do #2 that day. Which means absolutely cut off from the outside world as we know it. I have no internets. :(
"But why not call and leave an audio post?"
Well, that is the other dilemma, in my post-hangover sleepy haziness (my term for being so tired you feel like a train wreck) I left my nice little celly phone at the house.
Boooo.

The shift continues on as it tends to do, and we get hammered for 24 hours. Little sleep that night, we only get woken up 4 times, at 1, 3:30, 4 somethingish, and 6 45 ish. At this point I'm running on a concurrent 2 and a half hours sleep over the past 48 hours. I'm not complaining at this point mind you, but it is getting awfully puffy under these eyes of mine.
So, 24 hours later I'm afraid that The Girl is getting let down (come to find out, she is).
I have every intent on going home, calling the voiceblog and leaving a message. Not gonna happen. I get a phone call offering me a 24 hour overtime opportunity. Yeah... not gonna pass up that money. We're talking almost a doubling of my paycheck when it comes out. So off to another station I go. The problem there is they have no internets period. So again I am cut off from the world at large until I get off of work.

Enter current day.
It's Sunday, it's late, I slept almost all day long catching up on the sleep I missed out on. I am going to hop on IM and hopefully cheer The Girl up. I don't know if she's angry, sad, or feeling neglected. But I hope that by tomorrow we have the net back at work in all of it's slow-ass glory so I don't put her through this again.

No worries, dude, about her feeling neglected at least. I'll post the odd comment to keep her entertained here until you get a chance to (ahem...) "entertain" her yourself, which (I'm sure) that she'll much more appreciate! (evil grin)
